A contemporary Hampshire home designed around warmth, comfort, and understated architectural refinement.
Created as a space to feel equally inviting throughout both summer and winter, the interior balances earthy tones, tactile textures, and sculptural forms to establish a calm and timeless atmosphere.
The client’s brief centred around an oversized, deeply comfortable sofa and a home that felt organic, grounded, and effortlessly liveable. Due to the long proportions of the room, the challenge was creating cohesion whilst maintaining intimacy and flow throughout the open plan space.
From concept
to completion
To anchor the interior, an extended fireplace and television feature was introduced as a strong architectural focal point. Positioned intentionally off centre, the feature creates balance across the room whilst visually connecting each area into one unified space.
Architectural glazed doors were also added to soften the openness of the original layout, creating a greater sense of
layering, framing, and warmth.
A textured wallcovering wraps the entirety of the room, allowing light to move softly across the surfaces throughout the day and creating a cocooning atmosphere by evening. Combined with dark architectural detailing, soft upholstery, and layered lighting, the result is a home that feels refined, comforting, and quietly luxurious.
